At our Staff Debriefing of our Face2Face Design Team Meeting, a good deal of time was spent on talking about strategies we could implement now  around mobilizing the community to participate in CS VIII. Some of the strategies that we outlined are:

Communication to entire LLC community:

• Web push
• Flyer/registration mailing
• To keep Cs VIII on people's radar screen so to speak we thought that we should communicate with registered participants every other week and continue to distill information about the gathering (e.g.; design, catalyst speakers etc.) and communicate once a week with non-registered members of the community to continue a call to come to CS vIII and a reminder to register - take advantage of early bird registration, good hotel rates etc.

Communication to Core Constituents:

• Elissa will create flyer and registration form for messages
• Bella will email LLC Board members and ask them in turn to mobilize people in their own reach and circle.
• Pauline will email Design Team and do same.
• Circle assignments:
  • Claire will email the Evaluation Learning Circle and the Boston Learning Circle
  • Bella will email the Bay Area Learning Circle - collaborate with Odin on this
  • Odin will email the Alumni Circle
  • Deborah will email the DC Circle, the Health Affinity and the Funders Circle
  • Bella will communicate with the Community Seed Fund 2006 recipients
  • Claire with Pauline's assistance will email folks who came to CS VII and participated in the survey post CS VII

(The idea behind all this - to get our core people to outreach to their own circles)

Phone Calls - each staff person will call 10-12 people they know and have worked closely with through the years.

Intentional outreach to folks we always wanted to get involved with LLC

• Focus group participants
• Specific project participants
• Targeted invitees (e.g.; youth etc. - this will be where Design Team could help identify specific organizations and/or individuals; business - Claire will contact Genova/consultants and business professionals in the Boston area)
• Pauline will email Shelly Wilsey and ask if she could post our invitation in the ILA listserv and also mobilize Shelly to help us with outreach.
• Deborah will contact Jillaine of GEO.
